"Diablo Revamp"

The other winner of my revamp contest, the Diablo is arguably the most popular Earthsiege design aside from the Apocalypse. As such, there's a lot of demand towards it, so I wanted to get it right. Eventually, after trying a lot of Promethean designs, I decided to go with the Metagen design, since the new "eyes" look that 2845's artists gave them really gives liberties to all the old Cybrid designs from ES.

I decided to try to stick closely to the original while throwing in my own ideas, and fixing the shape of the body. I noticed that the old Diablo looked a little more natural in the Compendium drawing of it, so I decided to try to mimic that instead. Eventually, after a couple tries I decided that it would be neat to just replicate the image itself, except with a new design.

I really liked the end result, although I had quite a time trying to get it right. The arms were originally Q-Guns, which I decided looked too much like clamps. An outside viewer that has never seen them would think as much. The "second segment" part of the legs gave me a lot of trouble since they really don't have enough room for major details, and minor details on legs look bad, especially on such a small shape.

The only thing I disapprove of in this image is the hurried ink job in some places, as I had been working on it for a few hours already and had grown weary of its demands.
