"Girl Fighter"

There was no real reason for me to draw this girl, aside from my desire to practice drawing women, which I hadn't had much of until this point. Her apparel (what little of it there is) I made up on the fly. I had a lot of trouble with her pants, since shorts looked a little peculiar, so I decided to lop off one side of them. Why this worked I'm not sure.

I've always been a fan of long hair on women, and this certainly shows up in my drawings of them. This is another one of my "high school variety" drawings in terms of pose and body type, although this particular one had at least some individuality to it. Out of my many poor high school variety drawings, this is one of my favorites.

One interesting note is that I had originally drawn her without a weapon; she was brushing back her hair. However, I thought his position seemed odd, and that she needed a little more to add to her personality, so I added the curved sword, which is actually a weapon that I've had in my mind for a long time, yet have never been able to get down on paper satisfactorily, even to this day.
