"Erebus"

"Erebus" is another design of mine that has carried over for many years. I believe he started off as a new Weapon I thought up from Final Fantasy VII. I'm not sure how I decided to evolve him into a living creature, but over time, he earned a mouth, a tail, and an attitude. This was the first time I had drawn him in his "modern" form. I've actually altered the design mentally since then, although I've yet to draw it completely.

Erebus has played a part in many a story of mine, along with Reklaw. He's had several forms, although I've only drawn and uploaded two of them. This one is actually the only form that's been completed. The others range from slightly smaller to much larger, although I've always seen this form as the centerpiece for all of them - the most intelligent and human of all the forms in terms of personality and personality traits.

As far as the actual drawing goes, I was very sloppy with his shape, especially the muscles in his arms. I was actually more determined to get the overall shape of his body as a whole down, so I ended up ignoring the details. I drew him in pieces, which is why his position looks slightly odd. The only reason I drew the boy was to give him something to look at so his eye position would make sense. That, and it was slightly amusing to me.
